As the war between the Federation of Known Regions and the Yana seems to be coming to an end, new forces seize their opportunity to ascend. Diane, the soul partner of William, the "chosen one", and Ralph, their mentor, get rescued from Earth. They find themselves confronted with even more problems than before. They gather old and new friends to overcome their newfound difficulties and to bring back William from his captors. The Human colonies have carved out a foothold in the Known Regions. Under Marius Becker's totalitarian leadership, the New Alexandrian Republic unites the remnants of the Human race. Behind closed curtains, he introduces dangerous and unexplored larvae to his closest allies to form a twisted symbiosis and secure their power. While not everyone welcomes their new neighbours, some are keenly interested in the latest contenders for galactic domination. With his new Plan, Becker would ensure that Humans would be put ahead of everyone else. Amidst change, revolution, and the ruins of civilisations, new factions emerge. One alliance springs from another. A union of nations never heard of before flourishes in the far distance of space. And ancient beings return from oblivion. Each has the potential to tip the scales of war, but who will choose which side in the end?
